Kajsa Kinsella is a Swedish designer, living in Ireland for the last 15 years, has since childhood displayed a thirst for designing and creating. Through her work as an author of "Sew Scandinavian" & "Nordicana", as an aspiring photographer, magazine editor and interior stylist, a beautiful collection of Celtic and Nordic textiles and interior products has emerged as a natural celebration of her creative life.
Although embracing her new home-turf wholeheartedly, Kajsa has never forgotten her Scandinavian roots and using the luxury and strength of Half Panama Cotton, blended, woven and sewn, she has created a heartwarming fabric and household collection, displaying her love for both Scandinavian and Irish influences.
Kajsa is particularly proud of her uniquely handcrafted finishes e.g rustic herringbone lining, charmingly plaited ribbon and natural wooden buttons.
Emphasis has been placed on bringing a fresh approach to the
Scandinavian textile design heritage, displaying respect to their individual history and rich traditions.
2017 sees the launch of her first textile venture and has developed exclusive designs and pattern series by the the likes of Louis Mulcahy Pottery. Kajsa is preparing to embark on new book adventures and consistently contributes to various international magazines e.g. Prima Magazine,Prima Makes, Homemaker, Simply Sewing & Pretty Patches.
